As part of its anniversary celebrations, Frédérique Constant made its debut appearance at the prestigious 2023 Watches and Wonders event in Geneva, Switzerland. Additionally, the brand hosted a grand anniversary celebration in its hometown of Geneva, where suppliers, customers, retailers, and members of the press came together to mark this momentous occasion.
Jeffrey Cohen, CEO of Citizen Watch America, the parent company of Frédérique Constant, and Niels Eggerding, CEO of Frédérique Constant, took time to highlight the brand’s remarkable achievements during this significant year.
Cohen shared, “The Frédérique Constant 35th anniversary is being celebrated globally with a focus on our in-house Manufacture collection.” Frédérique Constant has earned acclaim for offering Swiss-made timepieces that blend classic luxury with affordability, featuring quartz, automatic, and in-house movements. Despite its relatively short history, the brand boasts an impressive collection of 31 in-house calibers, which encompass a wide range of luxury materials, including platinum, gold, and meteorite, adorned with intricate details like Côtes de Genève and perlage.
Cohen continued, “Then there are its various complications, such as Worldtimer, perpetual calendar, tourbillon, flyback, moon phase, and big date.” Whether seeking timeless elegance or a high-precision mechanical masterpiece, Frédérique Constant provides Swiss watches that cater to diverse design tastes and technical preferences.
In celebration of its 35th anniversary, the brand has introduced its 31st in-house caliber, the FC-735, featured in the Classic Power Reserve Big Date. Cohen shared, “We introduced four editions of this during Geneva Watches and Wonders.” This elegant stainless steel timepiece boasts a 40mm diameter and 12.19mm thickness, with a moon phase dial that adds a touch of celestial charm. Crafted in the brand’s expansive four-story, 34,444 square foot Geneva manufacture, the Classic Power Reserve Big Date Manufacture exemplifies Frédérique Constant’s commitment to precision and craftsmanship, encompassing movement component production, assembly, quality control, and more.
