Apple has come to the rescue of Apple Watch users grappling with a vexing bug that has been plaguing their watch face Weather complications. The issue, which has persisted since the launch of watchOS 10, left users with blank weather data readings despite multiple updates, including watchOS 10.0.1.
Frustrated users have been vocal about their woes, reporting the glitch to Apple, who has now stepped in with two potential solutions.
In a newly released support document, titled “If the Apple Watch Weather complication isn’t working,” Apple has provided guidance for affected users:
Reset iPhone Settings:
1.Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
2.Tap “Privacy & Security,” then select “Location Services.”
3.Scroll down and tap on “Weather.”
4.Under “Allow Location Access,” tap “Never,” and then revert to your original setting.
5.Check if the issue is resolved.
If the problem persists, Apple recommends trying these steps:
Reset Location & Privacy:
1.Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
2.Tap “General,” then select “Transfer or Reset iPhone.”
3.Tap “Reset” followed by “Reset Location & Privacy.”
4.If prompted, enter your passcode and proceed with the reset.
5.Check if the issue is resolved.
While Apple had initially hoped that the release of watchOS 10.0.2 would put an end to the Weather complication issue, reports indicate that some users still faced problems even after updating to this latest version.
Apple Watch owners have expressed their frustration over this bug that seemingly refused to be quelled, and many are now eagerly trying the company’s suggested fixes in the hopes of finally enjoying accurate weather data on their devices.
