Patek Philippe Unveils Exceptional New Releases at Watches & Wonders 2025

by Barbara Wilson

Patek Philippe captivated audiences at Watches & Wonders Geneva 2025 with a range of remarkable new timepieces. Building on the success of the Cubitus collection introduced in late 2024, the brand presented several stunning models, including an innovative desk clock, a sophisticated Grand Complication, and a luxurious time-only dress watch. Here’s a closer look at the highlights of their latest offerings.

Patek Philippe Complicated Desk Clock Ref. 27000M-001

Patek Philippe’s Complicated Desk Clock, reference 27000M-001, draws inspiration from two iconic timepieces created in the 1920s for American super-collectors James Ward Packard and Henry Graves Jr. These two collectors were known for their obsession with intricate horological creations, often commissioning increasingly complex pieces in a friendly competition.

This desk clock is a masterwork of craftsmanship and technical precision. Powered by the manually-wound Caliber 86-135 PEND S IRM Q SE movement, it offers an impressive 31-day power reserve and a precision rate of +/- 1 second per day, thanks to a constant-force regulator. The clock’s sterling silver housing is decorated with a beautiful green flinqué Grand Feu enamel, featuring a rope motif. Notable complications include both a perpetual calendar and a weekly calendar. The silver opaline dial is marked with black transfer-printed indices, enhancing its elegant appearance.

Patek Philippe Quadruple Complication Ref. 5308G-001

The Ref. 5308G-001 epitomizes Patek Philippe’s mastery in creating complex timepieces. This white-gold version of a platinum-cased Grand Complication, originally launched at the Watch Art Grand Exhibition Tokyo in 2023, combines three major complications: a minute repeater, a split-seconds chronograph, and an instantaneous perpetual calendar.

Housed in a 42mm white-gold case, this watch boasts interchangeable solid and sapphire casebacks. The stunning sunburst ice-blue dial, made from 18K gold, is the highlight, featuring the 799-component Caliber R CHR 27 PS QI movement. This movement incorporates two patented innovations: a specialized wheel to prevent friction in the chronograph and a system that eliminates energy consumption when the split-seconds function is activated.

Despite its 17.71mm height—making it a bold choice for wearers—the watch remains legible thanks to its intelligently designed dial, with radial apertures, totalizers, and multiple hands.

Patek Philippe Cubitus Ref. 7128/1G-001 and Ref. 7128/1R-001

The Cubitus collection has evolved with two new references that offer a more compact and wearable design. Inspired by the iconic Nautilus, the Cubitus maintains its rectangular case silhouette and integrated bracelet but now comes in a more accessible 40mm size, down from the original 45mm.

Available in two versions—white gold (Ref. 7128/1G-001) and rose gold (Ref. 7128/1R-001)—the Cubitus models showcase an elegant, contemporary aesthetic. The sunburst blue dial on the white gold version and the sunburst brown dial on the rose gold model both feature horizontally embossed patterns. The applied baton hour markers, framed date window, and luminescent baton handset complete the refined look.

The 40mm case is 8.5mm thick, making the Cubitus ideal for everyday wear. Powered by the automatic Caliber 26-330 SC movement, which features an embossed 21K gold rotor, this model is all about understated elegance. With a 30-meter water resistance, it may not be a luxury sports watch like the Nautilus, but it excels in its daily practicality.

Patek Philippe Calatrava Ref. 6196P-001

A new time-only Calatrava model is always a significant event in the world of horology, and the new Ref. 6196P-001 does not disappoint. The 38mm round platinum case features satin-finished flanks and a beveled bezel, combining vintage charm with modern elements. The rose-gilt opaline dial is complemented by anthracite white-gold applied obus-style hour markers, leaf hands, and a sub-seconds display.

The Patek Philippe Caliber 30-255 PS hand-wound movement powers this elegant timepiece, visible through the sapphire caseback. A small diamond embedded in the bottom of the case flank subtly indicates the platinum construction. The watch is finished with a chocolate-brown alligator leather strap and a platinum buckle, adding to its luxurious appeal. For Calatrava enthusiasts, this model is one of the most exciting releases of 2025.

Patek Philippe’s new releases at Watches & Wonders 2025 showcase the brand’s commitment to innovation and craftsmanship. From the stunning desk clock with a 31-day power reserve to the intricate Grand Complication and the elegant Calatrava, these pieces exemplify Patek Philippe’s dedication to precision, style, and timeless design. As always, the brand’s new collections are poised to make a lasting impact on the world of haute horlogerie.
