The OnePlus Watch 3 is set to be unveiled on February 18, and TechRadar recently provided an early glimpse of the highly anticipated smartwatch.
Enhanced Performance and Battery Life
The upcoming wearable from OnePlus, the company behind the OnePlus 13, is expected to run on Wear OS 5, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 chipset and an additional MCU chip. This dual-chip setup is projected to deliver up to 120 hours of battery life on a single charge, significantly improving power efficiency.
According to Celina Shi, Chief Marketing Officer of OnePlus Europe, the watch’s software is designed to intelligently manage operations between the two processors. “Our software seamlessly switches operations between these two chipsets, enabling the OnePlus Watch 3 to run with maximum efficiency while maintaining the perfect balance between peak performance and extended battery life,” Shi explained.
Design and Navigation Upgrades
The OnePlus Watch 3 will feature a rotating digital crown, a titanium bezel, and a sapphire crystal face, a notable upgrade from the stainless steel build of its predecessor, the OnePlus Watch 2. While comparisons to Apple’s Series 10 Watch are inevitable, OnePlus is positioning its digital crown as an intuitive navigation tool.
“With the ability to both press and rotate, the rotating crown makes navigating through apps and menus efficient and intuitive—ultimately enhancing the user experience,” Shi added.
Health and Fitness Features
While OnePlus has yet to reveal full details, industry insiders suggest that the Watch 3 will include essential health and fitness tracking capabilities. Leaks indicate it may introduce blood pressure monitoring, aligning with features seen in Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 7. This functionality is also expected in Apple’s upcoming Watch Series 11 and Watch Ultra 3, set for release later this year.
Global Availability and Launch Event
The OnePlus Watch 3 is expected to launch in the U.S., Europe, and other key markets. The official unveiling will take place on Tuesday, February 18, at 8 a.m. EST, where OnePlus will reveal further details on pricing, availability, and additional features.
