OMEGA has introduced a special edition of its renowned Seamaster Diver 300M, commemorating its role as the official timekeeper for the 37th America’s Cup, which will be held in Barcelona, Spain, from August 22nd to August 27th.
This new 42mm Seamaster Diver 300M, familiar to fans of James Bond, has been specifically tailored for sailing enthusiasts. The watch features a blue ceramic bezel with a regatta scale, where the first two five-minute intervals are distinctly marked for use during the critical 10-minute pre-start countdown of a regatta. Additionally, the bezel displays a ‘start’ section, highlighted by a regatta-inspired flag located at the two o’clock position.
The dial, made from white ceramic with a matt finish, showcases a laser-engraved wave pattern in positive relief, continuing the nautical theme. The seconds hand is adorned with an America’s Cup trophy counterweight, and the minute hand transitions from blue to red, enhancing its visibility and functionality.
On the reverse side, the watch reveals a sapphire exhibition case back, offering a clear view of the movement inside. The crystal also features a ‘B’ for Barcelona, linking the timepiece to the event. Powering the watch is OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806 automatic movement, providing a 55-hour power reserve.
As with all Seamaster models, this edition is water-resistant to 300 metres and includes the hallmark features of the collection, such as a helium escape valve at the 10 o’clock position and a guarded screw-down crown at three o’clock.
To further emphasize the America’s Cup connection, the watch is presented in a unique blue and red box, specially designed for the 37th edition of the prestigious sailing competition. The OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M America’s Cup edition is priced at £5,800 with a blue rubber strap or £6,100 with a steel bracelet.
