In celebration of summer and the rare celestial event of the blue moon, OMEGA and Swatch are set to unveil their latest collaborative effort, the “Mission to the Super Blue Moonphase,” this August.
Following the success of their “Mission on Earth” Bioceramic MoonSwatch, this new edition continues the lunar theme. The blue moon, a notable astronomical occurrence on August 19, 2024, serves as the inspiration for this unique timepiece.
The watch features a striking blue and silver-opaline panda dial, complemented by blue hands and hour markers. Its distinctive blue Bioceramic bezel is adorned with a pulsometer scale marked in white.
A rotating dark blue disc with two blue moons illustrates the various lunar phases. Under blacklight, a hidden “Super Blue Moon” detail becomes visible, adding an intricate touch. The battery cover also reflects the lunar theme, showcasing a moon rendered in multiple shades of blue.
