Nomad has introduced a new 65W GaN power adapter featuring an integrated fast charging dock specifically designed for the Apple Watch. Priced at $100, the 65W Power Adapter Apple Watch Edition enhances the functionality of its predecessor, which debuted in October 2023, by combining the ability to charge two USB-C devices and the Apple Watch simultaneously.
Enhanced Charging Capabilities
The updated 65W adapter offers a convenient solution for users needing to charge multiple devices. It includes two USB-C ports and a dedicated fast-charging dock for the Apple Watch. Additionally, Nomad notes that the dock can also charge AirPods, provided they are not in a protective case.
Nomad’s ProCharge Power Philosophy ensures optimal distribution of power between devices. The high-speed USB-C port at the top delivers 45W, suitable for charging a MacBook Air or similar ultraportable notebooks and tablets, while the bottom port supplies 20W.
Travel-Friendly Design
Thanks to GaN (gallium nitride) technology, the adapter boasts a compact size and includes flip-out prongs, making it an ideal travel companion. Its portability and efficient power distribution make it a practical choice for those on the go.
