Renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has shared insights into the anticipated design overhaul of the upcoming Apple Watch.
Kuo suggests that the Apple Watch Series 10 is poised to introduce significant changes, including larger sizes and a more slender profile.
The analyst predicts that the case dimensions of the new models will see an increase, with the larger variant expanding from 45mm to 49mm, and the smaller version growing from 41mm to 45mm.
Expanding on the significance of these adjustments, a taller case not only offers more space internally but also accommodates a larger display. For context, the current Apple Watch Ultra boasts a 49mm case.
Regarding the next iteration of the Apple Watch Ultra, Kuo indicates that the specifications will likely remain unchanged. However, Apple may introduce fresh color options for the casing, contingent upon production capabilities meeting expectations.
Kuo’s projections align with previous reports from Bloomberg, suggesting that Apple is gearing up for a substantial overhaul of the Apple Watch lineup. This overhaul is anticipated to include a thinner case design, magnetic band attachments, and innovative blood pressure monitoring technology.
The potential introduction of magnetic band attachments hints at a possible redesign of the band connector for the new Apple Watch models. Consequently, existing watch bands may not be compatible, as the band connector is expected to undergo a comprehensive redesign.
