Apple will mark Earth Day with a special activity challenge for Apple Watch users on Tuesday, April 22. To participate, owners of Apple Watches will need to complete a workout lasting at least 30 minutes. The workout can be tracked using the Workout app or any other app that syncs data to the Health app.
In celebration of Earth Day, Apple encourages users to get outside and engage in a 30-minute workout to earn the reward. Those who complete the challenge will unlock a special award in the Fitness app, along with animated stickers for use in Messages and FaceTime.
The Earth Day challenge is a prelude to another milestone event. On April 24, Apple will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Apple Watch with the special “Close Your Rings Day” challenge. Apple Watch users who close all three Activity rings on that day will receive 10 animated stickers and a digital award. Additionally, Apple retail stores will offer a physical pin to participants, available on a first-come, first-served basis.
These unique challenges give Apple Watch owners a chance to celebrate both Earth Day and the anniversary of the Apple Watch with fitness goals and exclusive rewards.
