Apple Watch Gets a Battery Boost with New 1200mAh Wristband Power Bank

by Barbara Wilson

Since its debut in 2015, the Apple Watch has been notorious for its limited battery life, typically lasting just one day of use. The latest Series 10 model offers up to 18 hours of battery life, but for users seeking more longevity, a new accessory could provide the solution: a 1200mAh power bank designed to be worn on the wrist.

While the power bank may not win any design awards, it offers a practical solution for extending the Apple Watch’s battery life. Available on platforms like Amazon, this accessory boasts more than three times the capacity of the Series 10’s built-in battery (327mAh). With 1200mAh, the power bank is designed to recharge the Apple Watch at least twice, potentially extending usage up to three days. However, real-world performance may vary.

The power bank features a bulky design, combining a magnetic holder for the Apple Watch with the battery section on the left side. A power button and a color-coded battery indicator (green for 100-60%, yellow for 59-11%, and red for under 10%) are included to track battery levels. Charging is done via USB-C cable, and the device can also be used as an external charger while out and about, whether or not the Apple Watch strap is attached.

Available in two colors—Midnight and Polar Star—matching the Apple Watch color scheme, the power bank comes in three variants to fit different watch sizes, including options for 44/45/46 mm, 40/41/42 mm, and 49 mm for the Apple Watch Ultra and Ultra 2. Priced just under 30 euros with a current discount of 25%, it offers an affordable way to keep your Apple Watch charged throughout the day.

Despite its unusual design and lack of official Apple approval, the device does allow continued use of the Apple Watch’s sensors, with openings provided to let sensors like heart rate and blood oxygen monitors function. However, it remains unclear how reliably these measurements can be taken while the power bank is in use. The manufacturer claims the power bank includes a quick-charging feature, allowing users to remove it once the Apple Watch has enough battery.
