The Rolex Submariner series, which is highly favored in the market and retains its value well, is one of the most seasoned diving watches available. Among them, the stainless steel models such as 124060 (No Date Black Submariner), 126610LN (ROLEX Black Submariner), and 126610LV (ROLEX Green Submariner) have the highest market inquiries within the entire series.
Although the Submariner series marked its 70th anniversary in 2023, the brand didn’t have any significant celebration. Only the 126610LV was updated to the MK II version, allowing watch enthusiasts to sense the significance of this milestone. The so-called Green Submariner MK II basically involves Rolex adjusting the formula of the green Cerachrom ceramic bezel, presenting a lighter lime green color instead of the darker shade of the MK I. The lighter green tone of the ceramic bezel seems to pay homage to the first-generation Green Submariner 16610LV, adding a bit of surprise when purchasing the 126610LV.
Leaving aside the subtle changes in the Green Submariner, usually, what people care about the most is the price trend of the Submariner. This series just had another price increase in January 2025. The pricing has been continuously rising in recent years. The latest original prices of the three Submariner models are as follows:
- 124060 – NT$ 329,500 Oyster Perpetual Submariner wristwatch in oyster steel
- 126610LN – NT$ 369,500 Top-spec Rolex Black Submariner
- 126610LV – NT$ 388,000 Where to buy the Green Submariner ROLEX Rolex Submariner
The original price of the No Date Black Submariner 124060 increased to NT$ 329,500 in 2025, and the current average secondary market transaction price is approximately NT$ 360,000.
Since 2023, the entry threshold for the Submariner family has started from a figure of three hundred thousand. Thinking back about five years ago, the original prices of these three models were all within three hundred thousand. The increase in prices within five years has been quite significant. However, it would be a luxurious treat if one could purchase these three Submariner models at the original price now. As we all know, their market prices have long been driven up to different levels through speculation. Therefore, the reference value of the original price is more significant than the actual one, as it’s almost impossible to find someone willing to part with the watches at the original price in the secondary market.
The original price of the 126610LN increased to NT$ 369,500 in 2025, and the current average secondary market price is approximately NT$ 410,000.
However, starting from the second quarter of 2022, the soaring market trends of many popular watches hit a snag and started to decline. Even after more than two years up to now, there hasn’t been a significant rebound. Originally in the second quarter of 2022, we were still surprised that even the prices of best-selling models like the Black Submariner and Green Submariner were trending down from their peaks. But in January 2025, unexpectedly, the prices of these three models are still gradually dropping.
The original price of the Green Submariner 126610LV increased to NT$ 388,000 in 2025, and the current average secondary market price is approximately NT$ 455,000.
According to the tracking by the advanced watch market research institution WatchCharts, the secondary market prices of the three Submariner models in July 2024 were 124060: $11,354 (approximately NT$ 370,000), 126610LN: $12,942 (approximately NT$ 423,000), and 126610LV: $14,605 (approximately NT$ 477,000). Such market conditions were already the result of a continuous decline for a while. Surprisingly, as of now half a year later, the prices of these three Submariner models still haven’t reached the bottom. Second-hand prices of the Green Submariner

In the latest quotations abroad, WatchCharts indicates that the secondary market prices of the three models are 124060: $11,063 (approximately NT$ 360,000), 126610LN: $12,577 (approximately NT$ 410,000), and 126610LV: $13,929 (approximately NT$ 455,000). The market conditions of these three Rolex Submariner models were relatively stable in the early part of last year. However, the value of the Green Submariner dropped significantly after May 2024, moving from $15,000 towards $14,500. After November, it continued to decline and reached the lowest point in December. The decline persisted until January 2025 and has now officially dropped below $14,000. The Date Black Submariner dropped to its lowest point in mid-May 2024 but rebounded shortly after. Since then, it has fluctuated for several consecutive months but with little change. The foreign quotations have roughly remained around $12,900 until recently when it dropped further. The No Date Black Submariner also dropped to its lowest point in April-May 2024 and rebounded a little in early June. The price has been relatively stable since then but dropped again in December and has been lingering at the lower end for the past two months.
Currently, the premium rates of these three Submariner models are gradually cooling along with the decrease in their values. Among them, the Green Submariner still has the highest premium rate (approximately 27.7%), followed by the Black Submariner with a rate of 20.9%, and the No Date Black Submariner with a rate of 20.2%. Looking at these percentages alone, it might seem a bit exaggerated. However, compared to the peak market conditions of these three models three years ago, the current secondary market prices are actually still attractive.
